Yes, The Blind Assassin is still sitting there in the #1 spot! It’s been two weeks since I’ve been able to even touch it; but I am determined to finish it this week-end and get a review posted next week!
I finished up Duchess in Love (The Duchess Quartet, Book #1; by Eloisa James; narrated by Justine Eyre.) The novel was a bit unwieldy with so many things going on; but I loved Justine Eyre’s obvious joy in narrating it 🙂
Anne Flosnik asked in a tweet as whether I was going to read or listen to Emma. She narrated Emma, and I’m sure she did a fantastic job; but Emma is on my list as a part of the Mount TBR Challenge (read 12 books that have been on your shelf for a year or more) so I’m going with the print – when I get to it that is. I’m failing badly at the Mount TBR Challenge (I haven’t read even one book from the old stacks;) but then again, it’s too ealry in the year to lose hope!
The Mark of Zorro has made an appearance on the list. The 2012 APA Audie Awards nominations have been announced and, of the 150 finalists, I have only listened to two; and neither of them were from the company I work for. In view of my #bademployyee status, I thought I would try and listen to some of the Audie Award nominated audiobooks (I think there are ten or eleven) 
The Royal Road to Fotheringhay (by Jean Plaidy) is the newest addition to the list. It’s also been around in the stacks since 2009 and reading it will also qualify for the Mount TBR challenge. I’m kind of burnt out on reading Tudor historical fiction; but since it’s been awhile and, the book is relatively short it might not be too painful! Who knows, it may just re-ignite my love of the sub-genre!
